Scanner does not work due to not connected to parallel port.
Cause:
Not connected to parallel port.
Solution:
Connect to correct parallel port on computer.
1) Turn the computer off.
2) Locate the parallel port.
NOTE 1: Look at back of the computer for 9-pin or 25-pin connector slots. Most computers have ports mounted along the back left side. Parallel ports usually appear as a 25-pin female socket (often connected to a printer pin male connection), often below or beside a 9-pin male serial port connection.
NOTE 2: For more information, refer to the manufacturers manual to locate the parallel port.
3) Connect the scanner cable to the parallel port.
